Rae ‘Your Words’, Olav Basoski ‘New Day’, Dualton ‘Formula’, Tom Middleton ‘Cicadas’ and Bass Kleph & Filthy Rich ‘These Mornings’ are all 100% boxfresh and brand new for 2011.
Sandy Rivera has made a phenomenal return to prominence over the last three months, first with Hide U and now his brand new Kings of Tomorrow track featuring a brand new vocalist, April. Any new release from Kings of Tomorrow is a special occasion and this beautiful song proves once again that quality never fails. Advance copies of the Basoski and Dualton releases have been personally requested by Pete Tong and Annie Mac in the UK and with Olav’s recent releases flying high on Beatport, it’s certainly true that Bargrooves is featuring all the right records in the right places. The Mark Knight Remix of Tensnake’s ‘Coma Cat’ and the Laidback Luke and Gina Turner production (as Nouveau Yorican) of ‘Chiuso’ have been two of the most in demand tracks since the start of the year and the hot new Studio Apartment and Rae video for ‘Your Words’ is getting real exposure across media in multiple territories.
In addition, Bargrooves has also always been about re-discovering some magical moments in house music and bringing them to a wider audience. Julie McKnight’s Home is given a rework by the Audiowhores – it slipped out right at the end of 2010 and continues to be well supported. Another fine moment is the Blaze track, ‘The Garden’ – a perfect, soulful way to end proceedings.
